About Me
Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a qualified Health Coach with a specialism in the psychology of eating. This includes disordered eating and emotional eating.
I created Ahara Wellness to help people become happier and healthier. Having been lost in the dark depths of ways of being healthy, I want to share what I have learnt. Ahara is Sanskrit for nourishment in all forms and I truly believe what nourishes us is the full picture of our lives, not just what is on our plates.
I coach in a way that is client led and takes a whole picture approach. After all, who knows you better than you? I help clients build confidence in setting their own health goals, outside of one-size-fits-all approaches, and implementing them in a sustainable and long-term way.
My focus is on transformation. Although information is required for transformation, the majority of sessions will focus on building skills, rather than learning in the abstract.
For those struggling with disordered eating and emotional eating, the focus will be on emotional regulation and being able to tolerate intense emotions in the moment. We will work on becoming more effective with emotions, rather than turning to maladaptive and self-sabotaging behaviours, including over/under eating, binge eating and chronic dieting.
